Good morning lovely ladies! So the last time I took down my mini twists, I noticed I had alot of post partpartum shedding. I never noticed this before with my other two, or maybe I just overlooked it because I wasn't in to hair care back then. We typically shed 50-100 hairs per day, so if you think about the hair that's not combed for the two weeks I'm in twists, that's could be about 1400 shed hairs!
But I still think I had more due to post-partpartum shedding than regular shedding. It ususally occurs about 2-3 months after giving birth, and my little one is 3 months old, so that would make sense. I noticed I had more around my edges, so I've been applying castor oil to thicken up my edges. I really need to start applying it a couple times a day and massage in that area.
I am curious to see if the shedding has returned to normal once I take my twists down. Garlic is said to be great to get shedding under control. There are garlic shampoos and conditioners that I could use if it gets too bad. I'll keep you ladies posted!
