Sew-ins
Can be a great protective style if installed correctly and maintained properly. Sew-ins should not be installed too tight, and you should moisturize your real hair in between the tracks regularly as to prevent your hair from drying. Drying of course can lead to breakage, which means no length retention.
I've worn sew-ins several times throughout my hair journey, and became a DIYer (do-it-yourself). Sew-ins are great for a number of reasons:
- Great protective style during your transition
- Allows you to give your real hair rest
-Aids in length retention
- You don't have to worry about styling your hair daily (who wouldn't love that! )
-Great way to change up your hair style without it being permenant and without using heat ex: straight hair, wavy hair, color, short styles etc.
